RULES FOR VISITORS

Like every NASCAR race, visitors at the USA Today 301 are expected to respect the guidelines set by the organisers. Below is a quick overview of the essentials.

BAG POLICY

• All bags (including clear bags, backpacks, coolers, purses, and fanny packs) will be searched upon entry.
• Clear bags (recommended) and soft-sided coolers may not exceed 14" x 14" x 14".
• Backpacks may not exceed 18" x 18" x 4".
• Small purses, clutches, and fanny packs must be no larger than 4" x 6", 6" x 9", or 4.5" x 6.5".
• Hard coolers are not permitted.
• Alcohol is permitted, but glass containers are not allowed.

WHAT ITEMS ARE PROHIBITED?

To protect everyone on site, objects that could be harmful, disruptive, or unsafe are not permitted. This also applies to tickets or merchandise brought in for resale. Security screening will take place at the gates, and anyone who refuses may be turned away without a refund. Keep in mind that certain items are strictly banned inside the venue.

The list below is not complete but outlines the most common items that are restricted:

• Aerosol cans (except sunscreen, bug spray, sunblock, and hand sanitizer)
• Animals/Pets (service animals permitted)
• Balloons, beach balls, frisbees, or other projectiles
• Cameras with detachable lenses over 5" (camera/lens combo may not exceed 8"); GoPros and video cameras must fit inside a clear bag (14" x 14" x 14" or smaller)
• Chairs (collapsible)
• Clothing that is obscene or indecent
• Confederate flag displays
• Containers made of glass or ceramic
• Coolers that are foam or hard-sided (any size)
• Drones or unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)
• Dry ice
• Firearms of any type
• Fireworks
• Heaters of any kind (propane, gas, Buddy Heaters, etc.)
• Ice bags
• Illegal substances
• Knives longer than 3" (closed) or 6" (open)
• Laser pointers, noisemakers, air horns
• Multi-tools with knife blades longer than 3"
• Personal transportation devices (skateboards, hoverboards, roller skates, roller blades, scooters, Segways, mopeds, e-bikes, e-scooters, dirt bikes, ATVs, UTVs, golf carts, 4x4 vehicles, etc.)
• Seat cushions with metal, armrests, or wider than 20"
• Selfie sticks
• Smoking in grandstands or suites (including e-cigarettes and vapes)
• Stadium seats with armrests or wider than 20"
• Tripods or monopods (solid or collapsible)
• Umbrellas
• Wagons

WHAT CAN YOU BRING WITH YOU?

For a smooth experience at a NASCAR event, it’s wise to pack light and only bring what you really need. Essentials include your mobile phone, some cash, an extra battery for your camera, and valid tickets for each day you plan to attend. Don’t forget to have proper identification with you, and also for any children in your party.

You are allowed to bring the following items into the venue:

• Alcohol (in permitted containers – no glass or ceramic)
• Backpacks up to 18" x 18" x 4"
• Binoculars (must fit in a clear bag if carried separately)
• Blankets and small personal seat cushions (without metal parts, armrests, and under 20" wide)
• Cameras with fixed lenses or detachable lenses 5" or smaller (camera/lens combo must be under 8" total length)
• Clear bags (recommended) up to 14" x 14" x 14"
• Ear protection (headphones, earplugs, etc.)
• Fanny packs, clutches, and small purses within size limits (4" x 6", 6" x 9", or 4.5" x 6.5")
• Food and snacks (in approved containers)
• Hand sanitizer, sunscreen, and bug spray (aerosol allowed only for these items)
• Non-alcoholic drinks in sealed, non-glass containers
• Soft-sided coolers up to 14" x 14" x 14"
• Strollers (for families; subject to search)
• Service animals (properly identified)
